Todd J. Pinsky
Todd J. Pinsky earned his Doctor of Law degree (J.D.) from Emory University School
of Law in 2002 and Bachelor of Arts degree (B.A.) from the University of Michigan in
1999.
Todd is admitted to practice law in New York and Illinois, including the United States
District Courts for the Northern District of New York, Northern District of Illinois, and
Southern District of Illinois.
Todd's general practice includes the representation of businesses and individuals
in an array of litigation and transactional matters. Todd provides representation to
transportation companies, shippers, carriers, and logistics companies in cases of injury,
loss or damage to cargo, equipment or individuals in local, domestic or international
shipments. Todd also counsels a broad range of healthcare clients, such as group medical
practices, IDTFs, hospitals, and nursing homes. Such experience includes Medicare,
Medicaid and HIPAA compliance, fraud and abuse investigation and prevention, and
general business and corporate operations. Todd also represents insurance companies
and insureds in and out of litigation, including insurance defense, subrogation recovery,
and policy coverage. Todd also provides counsel to individual clients on wills and trusts,
real estate, product liability and collections.
Prior to joining Pinsky & Skandalis, Todd practiced in Chicago, Illinois with a civil
litigation firm representing insurance companies and other businesses in tort defense,
subrogation pursuits, and coverage analysis, inclusive of general liability, cargo, fire, and
crime policies. Todd has also worked for the Office of the Cook County Public Guardian
as an attorney and Guardian ad Litem representing neglected and abused children.
Todd is an active member of the Transportation Lawyers Association, Conference of
Freight Counsel, and 40 Below-Central New York's young professional network.
Member of New York State Bar Association and Onondaga County Bar Association.
